Use less than 1% (0.49%) of the $918,000,000.00 in new tax revenue approved by voters on 5/18/10 to fund this.  $306,000,000.00 is already required “to be spent on health and human services and public safety.”

-          Arizona voters approved a 1-cent sales tax increase on May 18, 2010.
    o         Arizona Sec. of State 2010 Special Election Official Canvass Certification

 -          This new tax will generate $918 million in state revenue during FY 2011 (6/01/10-5/31/11), $968 million in FY 2012 (6/01/11-5/31/12) and an additional $1.06 billion in FY 2013.
